Engineer Career
The Engineer Career came to The Sims 4 in the Discover University expansion pack.
The Engineer Career is a Work From Home Career, but you do have the option to send your Sim off to work.
To progress in the Engineer Career Sims will need to skill up their Robotics and Handiness Skills. Their daily task is to Tinker at the Robotics Workstation. The Work From Home Tasks include: Write Product Report, Optimize Equipment Design, and Review Diagnostics with the computer, Conduct Product Survey with other Sims, Practice Programming, and Repair Something.
At Level 7 the Engineer Career branches into Computer Engineer and Mechanical Engineer. Both branches require Sims to improve their Robotics Skill and their daily task requires using the Robotics Workstation.
The Computer Engineer Branch requires Sims to improve their Programming Skill and their daily task is to Construct Computer Chips on the Robotics Workstation. The Work From Home Tasks include: Dabble with Circuit Boards, and Test Experimental Components at the Robotics Workstation, Collect Qualitative Feedback from other Sims, Design New Computer Hardware with the computer, and to Guest Speak at the Computer Engineering Class at the Foxbury Institute.
The Mechanical Engineer Branch requires Sims to improve their Handiness Skill and their daily task is to Construct Mechanisms on the Robotics Workstation. The Work From Home Tasks include: Investigate Equipment Failures, and Practice Welding Techniques at the Robotics Workstation, Review Product Specifications with the computer, Recruit other Sims as Product Testers, to Guest Speak at the Mechanical Engineering Class at the Foxbury Institute, and to Upgrade Something.

Level 3: Apprentice of Algorithms
